Loving music

Milosh tekee mun mielestä ehkäpä kauneinta musiikkia tässä maailmassa niin soolona kuin Rhyenkin muodossa. Tämän haastattelun perusteella tyyppi vaikuttaa myös hyvältä ja kaunismieliseltä ihmiseltä. Lukekaa vaikka:

"Do you always want to release music that’s hopeful or loving?

Yeah. There’s a lot of dark stuff in the world right now. There’s a lot of misogyny and objectification of not only women, but also other aspects of life. There’s a lot of sexualization for the sole purpose of creating a commercial product. I don’t like it. It’s terrible for people’s minds. It’s super dangerous for young boys to watch videos of chicks being treated like hoes.

I see a dark thing happening [in the] media right now. I’m like, “What does that mean? What does ‘Anaconda’ mean? What is it really saying to girls that are 17-years-old? Why are we not worship[p]ing people’s intelligence? Why are we not worshipping people’s creativity? Why are we just worshipping a girl’s tits and ass and a guy bragging about his sexual prowess?”

We make choices, and those choices bring certain people to you. If you’re an asshole, you’re going to have a whole bunch of assholes around you, and you’re going to do asshole things. That’s why it’s important to ask yourself, “What do I want to contribute? Who do I want around?” "

Tänään haluaisin tarjota teille luettavaksi henkilökohtaisen idolini, muusikko & awesome human being FKA twigsin eli Tahliah Debrett Barnettin haastattelun.

Twigsin musiikillinen tuotanto on järisyttävän erinomaista ja nainen vaikuttaa myös kaikin puolin aivan über coolilta ihmiseltä.

"I was a youth worker for like two or three years, then the government cut the funding, so I got sacked, basically.
I was really upset, because that was my job! I wanted to be an art therapist, I wanted to work with youth and work in the social sector. When it stopped, it was devastating, but it also made me realize I could do things myself, on my own terms. I can dress how I like and make the music that I like, and I can produce it if I want to. I can be a video director as well. I can do all these things."

I found it really difficult to program when I started, then I had this leap of confidence to actually get in front of the computer and learn how to do it. It was a massive challenge, because I am not a very logical person at all. It’s about facing your fears. If you do that, you realize that you can actually do anything you want to do! It’s been the most liberating experience."

Miksei mulla oo aiemmin ollut tunnistetta "ihania miehiä"? Oon ihastellut vain naisten ihanuutta. En kuitenkaan ole mikään miesvihaaja, vaikka feministi olenkin (ja musta jokainen fiksu ihminen on).
